Are you looking for the ultimate hands-on summer experience to keep your little ones engaged, learning, and out of the "I'm bored" zone? The Discovery Center of the Southern Tier in Binghamton is launching its brand-new Wonder Labs, offering guided and interactive sessions all summer long.
What are Wonder Labs?
Wonder Labs are specialized, guided sessions designed to ignite curiosity and creativity in kids of all ages. The labs rotate through four incredible, family-favorite themes:
- Art Exploration: Creative, mess-friendly crafting and sensory art.
- STEAM Investigations: Action-packed science, technology, engineering, art, and math exploration.
- Sound Waves: Fun, noise-welcomed experiments exploring rhythm and acoustics.
- Page to Stage Story Times: Bringing beloved children's books to life with interactive play.
Flexible Scheduling for Busy Summer Days
Every Monday and Wednesday, the museum will host two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, so you can drop in when it works best for your family's schedule. Depending on the day's theme, the program will follow one of these two formats:
- Independent Tabletop Activities: Perfect for self-paced exploration from 10:45AM – 11:45AM and again from 1:30PM – 2:30PM.
- Direct Guided Experiences: Short, high-energy, 20 to 30-minute group sessions starting right at 10:45AM and 1:30PM.
🎉 Best of all? All Wonder Labs activities are completely included with regular museum admission!
